In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Sam shared that the idea stemmed from her long-standing passion for Pilates and the expertise of her mother-in-law, Eve Semerad, who works as a clinical Pilates instructor in Australia.
"Actually, I've been doing Pilates for about 8 years now, and I super love it. And then I was like, why don’t we share this to the whole world? And also, [it’s] perfect, because my mom-in-law, she's a clinical Pilates instructor from Australia. So this was actually the original plan before pa, so finally, it actually happened," she said.
Sam explained that Pilates became part of her lifestyle because of the physical and mental benefits it offers.

"Well, number one, I love it because it's good for posture and stretching. And it just helped me with my everyday life kasi you move better, you're stronger. Kasi ‘pag gym, diba, it's different from Pilates because that's for building muscle. This one is more for stretching, and parang you just feel better about yourself," she shared.
She also credited her mother-in-law for introducing her to the discipline while she was in Australia.
According to Sam, she took an active role in building the business from the ground up.
"From A to Z! From conceptualizing, from the name to doing the permits, ako ‘yung naglalakad," she said.
The actress admitted that establishing the studio was far from easy but described the experience as fulfilling.
Beyond Azure Form, Sam also manages a resort in Baler and an Airbnb property in Batangas. Looking ahead, she hopes to open more branches while remaining open to returning to acting if the right project comes her way.
"Why not? I mean, if there [are] projects, I’m still open. Nakaka-miss, eh," she said.
