During the latest episode of the "Kami Ang Inyong Mga..." podcast, Camille joined fellow hosts Iya Villania and Suzi Entrata-Abrera in discussing the growing influence of AI and how it is changing everyday life.

Unlike her co-hosts, who admitted having reservations about AI, Camille said she wants to understand both its capabilities and limitations before forming a judgment.

"Gusto kong malaman kung anong kaya niyang gawin at kung ano din 'yung limitations niya, ano 'yung strengths niya para at the same time kaya ko 'tong ituro sa mga anak ko."

She explained that keeping herself informed is important because today's younger generation is becoming increasingly familiar with AI-powered tools.

"Kasi mahirap kapag mas maalam sila kaysa sa akin eh. Kailangan mas maalam ako. So I got this online course so whenever they're doing it, makikita ko."

Camille also shared that her son Nathan already has a sharp eye for identifying AI-generated videos and has even taught her how to recognize some of their telltale signs.

"Minsan, tayo pa actually ang nabubudol."

Meanwhile, Suzi emphasized that AI can be useful when treated as a learning aid rather than a replacement for critical thinking.

"Hindi mo siya din dapat gamiting crutch na natututo ka palang mag-aral, ginamit mo na siya. Dapat aral ka na at gagamitin mo siya for furthering your knowledge."

She expressed concern that students may become overly dependent on AI for schoolwork instead of developing their own understanding. Suzi also pointed out that AI systems are not always accurate and may produce incorrect or incomplete information.

"If you're a learned person, makikita mo din, lalo na kung libre lang 'yung AI mo, 'yung mura-mura... may butas siya eh."

According to Suzi, younger users who rely heavily on AI may mistakenly believe everything it generates is factual.

"Dahil may alam kami, dahil tumanda na kami, alam namin na parang mali ito kasi I've chanced upon this before and it's not the same. Eh kung bata ka, you take it as the truth talaga."

Iya Villania, meanwhile, admitted she still finds it difficult to fully embrace AI despite her husband Drew Arellano's enthusiasm for the technology. She even joked that if Drew were still a student today, AI platforms might have ended up writing his thesis.

"Buti na lang graduate na si Drew. Pero kasi kung hindi malamang 'yung thesis niya, baka si DeepSeek or si Claude 'yung gumawa."
