​Mikael shared that his toughest personal hurdle was figuring out his exact place when it came to sharing parenting responsibilities.

​"The toughest thing for me was figuring out where I fit, in terms of helping," Mikael shared honestly. "To a certain extent, I felt very helpless because I was present, I had available time. But now that you're there and you're looking, I'm like, 'how do I help?'" He confessed.

​The actor explained that while basic household tasks like fixing things or cleaning the house are easy to do, he truly wanted to connect deeper and lessen the specific mental load on his wife.

​Mikael realized over time that there are moments when an immediate opportunity to intervene doesn't present itself. Instead of forcing things, he simply made it a point to consistently show up for Megan.

​"The women in our lives carry so much more. And I just have to be able to accept that. And during any sliver of moment that I can come in to help, I am just ready to be there, 999%," he expressed passionately.
