Aiko Melendez is one proud mama right now all because of her daughter, Marthena Jickain.

In a recent Instagram post, the veteran actress shared a beautiful milestone in the life of her daughter, Marthena. Marthena just received her very first paycheck, but instead of rushing to the mall to treat herself, she decided to do something incredibly sweet for her mother.

As seen in the lovely selfie she shared, Aiko and Marthena spent some quality time together at a restaurant.

"Today was extra special," Aiko happily shared in her caption. "My daughter, @marthena.jickain received her very first paycheck and instead of spending it all on herself, she insisted on treating me to a late lunch."

Aiko also uploaded a couple of candid solo shots from their date. One photo shows Aiko flashing a big, happy smile while stirring her iced drink. Another photo captures Marthena's sweet and glowing face at the dining table.

For Aiko, the food was definitely a nice treat, but the uninterrupted bonding time they shared was the real prize.

"Thank you, Mimi. More than the meal, it was the time we spent together that meant everything to me," the actress wrote. "Our endless kwentuhan, laughter, sharing dreams, and talking about life are moments I will always treasure," she added.

Seeing her child become an independent and thoughtful young adult gave Aiko a deep sense of joy. She reminded her followers that it is never about the price tag of the treat, but the pure intention behind it.

"As a mother, there's nothing more fulfilling than seeing your child earn through hard work, discover her own path, and still remember to give back with such a thoughtful gesture.
