While she picked a team to root for based on unique reasons—like respecting player Victor Wembanyama's focus on meditation—she candidly confessed that sports aren't usually her main or biggest interest in life.

"I admit that I’m not a diehard fan of any kind of sports but seeing @outofscratch so happy watching these games makes me happy, too. He loves Kobe Bryant so much," she shared.

For Maxene, participating in these activities is a purposeful choice to create a comforting space for her Geoff.

"This is actually one of the ways that I support him in his own mental health journey. I watch some of the games with him and show genuine interest in his hobbies. I ask him to explain the game to me and he does it with so much passion and excitement 🄰," Maxene wrote.
