Actor Christian Bables has once again addressed questions surrounding his sexuality as he prepares for the release of his upcoming film "Drags to Riches," where he takes on another drag role alongside Inigo Pascual and Elijah Canlas.

Speaking in an interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Bables made it clear that public speculation about his sexuality no longer affects him, explaining that people often hold on to their own perceptions regardless of what they are told.
“Sa akin, okay lang kasi hindi naman ako affected talaga ng kahit ano mang naririnig ko,” he said.
The actor added that changing public perception is often impossible, no matter how much effort a person puts into explaining themselves.

“Kasi kahit na, again, tumambling ka diyan, hugutin mo 'yung mata mo from your eyeball mo, from your eye socket, hindi mo mababago ang perception ng tao sa'yo.”
He continued by saying that some people have their own standards regarding sexuality and gender expression.
“Kung ito ang standards nila ng pagiging straight at pagiging hindi, you can never change that – kahit anong gawin mo, 'no?”
While Bables said he respects other people's opinions, he emphasized that there should be limits when discussing someone else's personal life.
“I respect that.”
The actor stressed that assumptions about another person's sexuality ultimately belong to those making them and should not dictate how someone is treated.
“Siguro ang masasabi ko, ang sekswalidad ng isang tao is none of your business,” he said.
Bables went on to explain that questions about sexuality should only matter when they have direct relevance to a person's relationship with someone.
“Unless may balak kang asawahin 'yung taong 'yun o may magandang maidudulot sa'yo 'yung information about that person's sexuality, dapat hindi siya itinatanong.”
He further emphasized that people should be allowed to keep that aspect of their lives private.
“That's really none of your business.”
Apart from addressing the issue, Bables also expressed strong support for the LGBT community and encouraged continued advocacy.
“Never get tired of standing and fighting for what you believe is right kasi walang ibang titindig para sa inyo o para sa mga parte ng komunidad kundi tayo,” he said.
The actor described himself as a proud ally and emphasized the importance of continuing conversations that promote understanding and acceptance.
Bables also acknowledged that while progress has been made, some resistance still exists.
“Meron lang talagang iba na – 'yung mga taong tingin nila sila lang ang mapupunta sa langit. Pero iilan na lang 'yung mga 'yun,” he said.
The actor previously addressed the issue during an interview with Ogie Diaz in 2022.

“My preference and my attraction is with the opposite s*x,” he stated.
