"We had 1 miscarriage and 1 ectopic before this," Ritz revealed in the now-viral reel.

Because of those past heartbreaks, the fear of losing another child was constantly on her mind. To manage her stress, Ritz showcased photos of multiple pregnancy tests lined up on her bathroom mirror, adding that she found herself "testing everyday para sure" which other moms were able to relate to as well.

The journey took a much more difficult medical turn just days after discovering the pregnancy. Ritz recalled experiencing sudden bleeding and painful contractions early on, prompting an emergency visit to the hospital.

It was during this scary period that doctors discovered she has APAS (Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome), an autoimmune disease that can cause complications during pregnancy. To combat this, Ritz had to undergo intensive LIT (lymphocyte immunotherapy) treatments and take matters into her own hands—literally.

"Kailangang mag-LIT at mag-inject everyday hanggang sa manganak," she explained.
