After a decade of being together, actor Jake Vargas shared insights into his relationship with longtime partner Inah de Belen, including their living arrangement and conversations about marriage.

Speaking on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, June 2, Jake reflected on the strength of their relationship after ten years together. According to the actor, the love and respect they have for one another remain unchanged despite the passage of time.
“Masasabi ko is hindi po talaga nawawala 'yung love kahit sobrang tagal na po naming magkasama and hindi po nawawala 'yung respeto ko sa family niya and sa bawat isa sa amin, sa isa't isa,” Jake said.
The actor also spoke warmly about Inah’s role in his life. He described her as his source of peace and admitted that life would feel incomplete without her presence.

One topic that drew attention during the interview was the couple’s live-in setup. Jake explained that the arrangement happened naturally as their relationship progressed. He also emphasized that it was not done without the knowledge of Inah’s mother, actress Janice de Belen.
“Inabisuhan naman din siya ni mama niya na, 'O, kaya n'yo na ba? Kaya n'yo na ba mag-live in?' Sabi namin, 'Opo, kaya naman po namin.' And du'n naman po nasabi na 'Okay, sige, kaya natin 'to. Du'n po namin nalalaman 'yung ugali ng isa't isa,” he shared.
Beyond their current setup, Jake revealed that marriage has also become a recurring topic in their conversations. He admitted that Inah often brings up the subject, while his answer remains consistent.
“Mangyayari,” Jake said regarding the possibility of tying the knot.
However, the actor stressed that marriage is not something they want to rush into.
“Paghandaan kasi hindi po dapat minamadali 'yun, Tito Boy. So, 'pag talagang ready na kami, yun na po talaga,” he explained.
Also present during the interview was actress Manilyn Reynes, Jake’s Pepito Manaloto: Tuloy ang Kwento co-star. Manilyn expressed support for couples choosing to live together but emphasized the importance of readiness and responsibility.
“Importante ang lalaki, kaya mo na ba talagang bumuhay ng isa pang nilalang? Kasi, magsasama kayo, e. At kilala mo na ba talaga ang sarili mo at masasabi mong 'Kaya ko that I am with somebody else, that I will be with someone na titira dito sa bahay,'” she said.
While marriage may still be in the future, Jake’s remarks highlighted the couple’s commitment to building a strong foundation before taking the next step in their relationship.
