Miss World 2013 Megan Young is winning the hearts of many mothers online with her honest look at life after giving birth. Instead of pretending that losing weight is easy, she openly shared that getting her strength back took a lot of time, effort, and patience.

In a video posted on her Instagram account, Megan compared how she looked at one month postpartum to her strong physique a full year later.
Megan explained that as soon as her doctor allowed her to exercise again, she took time getting back into a routine, which many were able to relate to.
"I didn’t bounce back. Ever since I got cleared by my OB @mae_sexy_young to workout after giving birth, I’ve been slowly getting into my groove," Megan confessed in her now-viral post.

During the first four months, she focused on basic movements because her body was still carrying extra weight from her first-ever pregnancy.
"Months 1-4 I was doing light walking, eventually lifting weights again but still wasn’t at the point that I wanted to be. I was still 25 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight. In total, I gained 50 lbs during my pregnancy."
Just as she was trying to build a habit, her journey hit a sudden bump when she got dengue at Month 5.
Once she recovered, she focused on healing her core muscles and rebuilding her confidence from months six to nine. By her tenth month, she stepped up her training with a professional coach to push herself more.
As seen in the video, Megan has been putting in serious work at the gym, doing kettlebell swings, lifting barbells, and holding planks. She and her husband, Mikael Daez (whom she affectionately calls Fofo), have been keeping each other accountable.
"We’ve been working HARD for the past two months. Work out kahit nakabakasyon, tracking my food intake every single day. It has been so worth it," Megan proudly stated in her post.
For Megan, the ultimate goal isn't just about looking thin—it’s about being healthy enough to take care of her loved ones, her husband and baby.
