Love is truly in the air as actress Rere Madrid and Gilas Pilipinas star Kai Sotto officially tied the knot, completely catching the public off guard. The couple shocked netizens and fans alike after dropping photos from their secret, intimate wedding ceremony.

Rere took to Instagram to share their SDE, captured beautifully by Nice Print, from their big day, which took place in Alfonso, Cavite. The actress looked stunning in her elegant white wedding dress, while the basketball star stood tall and sharp in his white ensemble.

"Still feels unreal that we finally get to call this day ours," Rere happily announced online.

The surprise announcement instantly went viral, as the couple had kept the details of their wedding preparations entirely under wraps. The beautiful photos showcased the raw emotions of the ceremony, one that captivated many netizens on social media.

"First, we want to thank God for this wonderful blessing we experienced this year. Even though we went through challenges, misunderstandings, and people who tried to break what we had, we still chose to trust each other. Because of that, our relationship became even stronger, together with the love and support of our families," she wrote in her now-viral online post.

Aside from thanking their parents and siblings, Rere also thanked Neri Naig who was the owner of the events place where her and Kai's special day was held.

"Special mention as well to @thesundaygrams @Istmobile @forrentph @knotvillefavors and of course to @chitomirandajr and @mrsnerimiranda thank you so much for everything. Our wedding location was so beautiful, and having a surprise jam from Sir Chito, made the day even more unforgettable," she wrote, including the two in her thank you note as well.

Needless to say, many were stunned but supportive of the couple, sending them well-wishes online.

As previously reported by KAMI in 2025, Rere Madrid talked about her brother Ruru Madrid’s generosity and how supportive he is when it comes to money matters. In an interview on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda she shared that she casually asks her brother for large amounts and he always responds kindly. The actress recalled a moment when she asked for PHP50,000 and Ruru immediately offered to send it without hesitation.

Meanwhile, in the same year, Ruru Madrid was shocked to learn that his sister Rere is in a relationship with Kai Sotto. Rere explained she didn’t intend to hide Kai’s courtship from Ruru, but he was busy at the time. Ruru described Kai as a good person and shared how his girlfriend Bianca Umali changed his strict attitude toward his sisters’ suitors. Kai and Rere’s relationship became public during the 2024 GMA Gala.
