The remark came amid heated exchanges involving political statements, impeachment discussions, and reactions from government officials.

Ogie Diaz shared a post from a netizen highlighting the back-and-forth between Sen. Imee Marcos and Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro. In his commentary, Ogie hinted that the senator’s recent statements may have placed her in a position that feels like competition to his entertainment platform.

The controversy began after Sen. Imee Marcos released a vlog where she discussed alleged consequences for lawmakers who would not support the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

“Sangkatutak na kaso ang uulan sa inyo kapag hindi kayo bumoto ng tuwid, nakakanerbiyos talaga, tama ba ‘to?” said Sen. Imee Marcos.

She further claimed that aside from the Office of the Ombudsman, other agencies such as the Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission could also be involved in filing cases against certain lawmakers.

“Talagang may bribery na, may pananakot pa, ano ba itong nangyayari sa bansa natin?” the senator added.

The statements prompted a response from Atty. Claire Castro, who questioned the validity and source of the claims being circulated. She expressed skepticism over how the narrative was being presented.

“Kanino kaya galing itong script na ‘to,” said Atty. Claire Castro.
She continued, “Saan kaya galing ang kuwentong ito. Bakit lumalabas na parang chismis lang. Kasi gumagamit ng raw. Chismis ‘di ba? Panira,”

She referred to what she described as unverified claims being spread online.

Following the exchange, Ogie Diaz posted his own reaction, injecting humor and commentary into the situation.

“Mukhang may kalaban na ang ‘Ogie Diaz Showbiz Update’ sa katauhan ni Sen. Imee ‘Marites’ Marcos,” Ogie Diaz said.

As of now, Senator Imee Marcos’ camp has not released any official response regarding the remarks made by Ogie Diaz and Atty. Claire Castro.
