For Kylie, traveling with her kids is a way to reclaim lost time, "Part of the reason why I love to travel with my kids solo is that I get to have them all to myself. No work, no other distractions."

She expressed how "time flies way too fast," noticing how her eldest, Alas, has matured and grown taller.

Kylie shared a story from the previous night when Alas had trouble sleeping. She taught him how to meditate and breathe to relax, whispering how much she loved him until he fell asleep with a smile on his face.

Her youngest, Axl, also sought her comfort, snuggling next to her after asking if she could skip work the next day—a request that Kylie admitted made her "shed a tear secretly" which a lot of parents related to.

The actress candidly spoke about the "deep pain" that grows within her whenever she is away from them.

However, she noted that the precious moments of them needing her help heal that ache. "I memorized how little they are now, every sensation it felt having my boys need me this much in their life," she added, touching the hearts of her followers on social media afterward.

Despite the exhaustion that comes with her "single mommy" status, Kylie reaffirmed that these moments make her the "happiest I have ever been." She ended her post with a prayer for their small family and a promise to her sons that they would return to Japan soon to make up for the time spent apart.
