Pokwang has always been known for her wit and humor, but her latest social media post showed a more serious and inspiring side. The veteran comedienne recently shared a video on Instagram that celebrated the versatility and strength of women, specifically highlighting her role as a single parent.

In the video, Pokwang looked radiant while walking confidently in different outfits, as well as the numerous OOTDs she has sported throughout the years. The clip was a celebration of womanhood, showing that a woman can be many things all at once—soft yet strong, feminine yet capable in life.

"Minsan mowdel, minsan actress, minsan host, minsan komedyante, minsan negosyante," she began in the caption. She embraced the fact that she has had to step up for her family, filling in the roles that are traditionally split between two parents, a mom and dad.

Pokwang is a well-known comedian, actress, and TV host in the Philippines. Before entering showbiz, she worked as an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) in Japan and as a domestic helper in Abu Dhabi—experiences that shaped her strong and resilient personality. She rose to fame after joining the ABS-CBN reality talent show segment Clown in A Million in 2004, where she was declared grand champion, paving the way for her entry into sitcoms. At present, Pokwang is a talent of the Kapuso Network after transferring to GMA-7 in 2021.

She thanked the network leaders for standing up to protect the jobs of thousands of employees. In her post, she noted that around 4,000 workers could have lost their livelihood if not for the management's firm stand. Her online post follows a series of supportive messages from celebrities.

Meanwhile, in 2025, Pokwang praised the film UnMarry for its well-written story and the excellent performances of its cast. The comedian commended Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo, and Eugene Domingo for their portrayals. Angelica commented to thank Pokwang for supporting their project. Pokwang also shared that viewers could learn a lot about the legal aspects of annulment from the movie.
