Chito revealed that he first met Carmina when they were just in Grade 6. While Chito was studying at Ateneo, Carmina was a student at Holy Spirit. Even back then, Carmina was already a well-known commercial model and a certified heartthrob among their batches.
"Super ganda mula noon, hanggang ngayon... super bait pa. Nakilala ko si Carmina nung Grade 6 pa lang kami (magka-batch kasi kami... ako sa Ateneo, siya naman sa Holy Spirit), Chito shared, admiring his longtime friend.
The singer hilariously described his younger self as just a "payat at madungis" 12-year-old and recalled how he ended up at Carmina’s school one afternoon because he tagged along with a classmate who was apparently trying to play it cool in front of her.
