Singer-actress Jayda Avanzado reflected on her past relationship with Darren Espanto during her guest appearance on TicTALK with Aster Amoyo, where she candidly spoke about their teenage bond and how it eventually changed over time.

In the interview, Jayda confirmed that there was something special between them when they were younger.
“I can verify that. I suppose. Ano po tita, I’ll be straightforward with you. No, there was a time where Darren was special to me,” she said.
Jayda acknowledged the connection they once shared.

Jayda described Darren as her first close friend in the entertainment industry, noting how their friendship helped her adjust to showbiz life. She recalled meeting him at around 12 or 13 years old and said they built a strong bond through work and group projects, including their time on ASAPG.
“We went our separate paths and different circles as well. And we just didn’t really hang out as much anymore,” Jayda explained.
She added that their separation was natural and not caused by any conflict.
“Wala namang issue po from my end,” she assured.
Jayda emphasized that there was no bad blood between them.
When asked about how she felt when they drifted apart, Jayda admitted,
“Nalungkot po ako, tita.”
