A 45-year-old businesswoman was killed after being shot inside her own store in Barangay Poblacion, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV One Mindanao, CCTV footage captured the moment a suspect wearing a helmet entered the establishment and directly approached the victim before firing his weapon at close range.

Authorities said:

"Nagtamo ng dalawang tama ng bala sa ulo ang biktima, at pumanaw sa ospital."

Police investigators are currently reviewing closed-circuit television footage and gathering statements from possible witnesses in the area to identify the suspect. The attacker fled the scene aboard a motorcycle shortly after the shooting.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding the identity of the suspect or the possible motive behind the attack, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Residents in the area expressed alarm over the violent incident, noting that the victim was a known business owner in the community. Security in the vicinity has also been tightened while police continue their follow-up operations.

Investigators are also checking whether the attack was premeditated or connected to any personal or business-related dispute. As of now, no suspects have been arrested, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.

In another report, four people died while 29 others were injured after a truck overturned in Alyosan, Cotabato.
