JM Ibarra has addressed circulating rumors suggesting that he and Fyang Smith are living together, clarifying the issue during his interview with Ogie Diaz where he openly responded to questions about their real set-up.

JM immediately denied the speculation when asked directly about it and if they are already living under one roof.

“Hindi, kanino galing?” says JM Ibarra.

He expressed confusion when confronted with the rumor that reached Ogie.

When Ogie Diaz pressed further, JM explained that their constant togetherness is often misunderstood.

“Siguro sa dami ng trabaho namin, kami lagi magkasama,” says JM.

He described their daily routine in show business that they often arrive at events together because of shared schedules, not because they live together.

JM also admitted that dealing with repeated issues has become exhausting for them.

“Hindi na rin naman namin alam kung paano ide-defend yung sarili namin,” says JM Ibarra.

He explains why they sometimes choose to stay silent instead of addressing every rumor.

He further shared that regardless of whether they respond or not, criticism continues.

“Kung ide-defend namin o hindi, may sasabihin sila,” JM adds.

The actor also emphasized his respect for Fyang and her family amid the controversy.

“Basta ako bilang lalaki, ang pinaka nangingibabaw sa akin syempre ang respeto sa family niya,” emphasized JM.

He openly stressed his values and his respect for Fyang's family.

JM added that misunderstandings often come from people who are not aware of their actual situation.

Despite the noise online, JM made it clear they prefer to focus on work and avoid unnecessary conflict, letting their actions speak louder than rumors.

JM Ibarra is a Filipino actor and musician who rose to prominence as a finalist on Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11, where he was known by the moniker "Ang Poginsyanong Pilo-ToBe ng Quezon." In another report, JM Ibarra shared that he once worked as an on-call driver for friends and acquaintances for around six months to help support his income. Before his move to Manila, he also took on roles as a judge in local pageants and dance competitions in his hometown. He revealed that the pressure from his family’s financial situation even led him to reach 98 kilograms due to stress. Although he had some success as a pageant titleholder, he eventually focused on accepting any kind of work available just to provide immediate financial relief.

Meanwhile, JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith candidly discussed on “Hot Takes” how they deal with online criticism following their rise from Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11. JM admitted that bashing becomes concerning when it starts affecting people beyond the entertainment industry. Fyang also shared that she chose to take a step back from social media to safeguard her peace and privacy. The two added that activities like hiking, including trips to Mount Pulag and Mount Pinatubo, help them disconnect from negativity.
