Fans of Energy FM are feeling a bit sentimental today as one of the most recognizable voices in radio, Klariz Magboo, has decided to hang up her headphones. Known online as DJ Kara or Gandang Kara, the beloved DJ took to Instagram to share the news of her resignation from 106.7 Energy FM.

The announcement came as a surprise to many, especially since she was supposed to start a new late-night time slot.

"Starting today, I am no longer a DJ," she wrote in her caption. "I resigned last night, I was suppose to go on air tonight with a new time slot, 9 PM to 12 but I decided to let go," she confessed.

Kara looked back on her long career with the station with a mix of pride and sadness. She shared that it has been "7 memorable years" and admitted that she will "truly miss" the job. Despite the ups and downs of what she called a "roller coaster ride," she is moving forward with a heart full of memories.

The post was immediately met with an outpour of love from her loyal supporters throughout the years.

Kara made sure to return the affection, telling her fans, "To my supporters, I wouldn’t have made it this far without your love and support. Thank you for everything. I’ll miss you all."

While in tears, she asked netizens for help on how she could visit her grandmother, who had been tagged as a COVID-19 patient. Fortunately, things seemed to have worked out for her, with her update on social media.
