A heartfelt social media post has brought renewed attention to celebrity cosplayer and entrepreneur Alodia Gosiengfiao after a netizen shared how the personality helped change her life during the pandemic.

The story, posted on Threads, described how a simple act of support boosted a struggling small business at a critical time.

User Jheann Jaena recalled that she was pregnant and unemployed in 2020, with limited savings and no stable income.

“I was a single mother back in 2020,” she wrote.

“I was pregnant, I quit my job, it was a pandemic, and I had no source of income.”

She explained that she decided to start a small handmade accessories business using the money she had saved.

“Then a sudden idea hit me: What can I do with the ₱20K I saved from my last job?” she shared.
“Why not make handmade accessories?”

The turning point came when she tried contacting Gosiengfiao on Instagram to send a gift.

“So I started,” she said.
“I got my first few customers and then on a whim, I messaged Alodia Gosiengfiao on IG, just to gift her something.”

To her surprise, the celebrity promoted the items.

“But she did,” Jaena wrote. “On her posts. On her livestreams.”

She added that the repeated exposure helped her earn enough to cover expenses.

“Not just once, she promoted my accessories so many times,” she shared.
“And when she got engaged, she was wearing the earrings I made for her.”
Jaena later expressed gratitude for the support she received. “I will always be grateful for that wonderful soul,” she wrote.

Although she eventually paused the business after giving birth, she said the impact of Gosiengfiao’s gesture continues to inspire her.

Alodia Gosiengfiao is a Filipina cosplayer, endorser, actress, and television presenter who is also admired for her piano skills and sketching talent. Popularly known among fans as “Senpai Alodia,” she has built a strong presence in the Philippine cosplay community. She married businessman Christopher Quimbo on February 14, 2023, in a star-studded, fantasy-themed Christian wedding held at the Manila Marriott Hotel. Since then, she has continued to balance her artistic pursuits, career commitments, and personal life, earning admiration from supporters across the country.

Last December, Gosiengfiao introduced the face of her and Quimbo’s son, Cameron, to the public. She said that managing her time has become her biggest challenge, explaining that while spending moments with her baby is deeply rewarding, it often causes her to lose track of time. Gosiengfiao also admitted that she and her husband tend to spoil their child at the moment, though they hope to find a better balance moving forward. She added that Cameron has already shown an early interest in music, which she believes he inherited from his father, whom she described as a good singer.
