What began as a tearjerking, heart-to-heart conversation for the i-Listen podcast was abruptly cut short not by a technical glitch, but by the blaring alarms of a building-wide earthquake drill.

The moment, which has since sparked amusement among fans, occurred just as Buboy was reaching a pinnacle of emotional vulnerability.

According to Kara, the actor was on the verge of tears, and even a bit of a "sniffle," when the emergency sirens began to wail throughout the office building.

"Nag-i-interview-han kami ni Buboy, patulo na 'yung luha nito--sorry 'Boy--'tapos biglang may earthquake drill daw," Kara shared in a behind-the-scenes video.

Proving his trademark wit even in high-pressure situations, Buboy joked about his interrupted emotional state.

"Yung uhog ko, andiyan na oh. Okay lang po. It's for the essence," he quipped.

Following standard safety protocols, the two media personalities immediately practiced the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" maneuver.

In a scene both hilarious and surreal, the award-winning journalist and the comedic actor were seen crawling under an office desk to seek shelter.

Kara even jokingly suggested they continue the deep, emotional interview from their cramped positions under the furniture.

For Buboy, the interruption was more than just a break in the action; it was an educational milestone.

The actor admitted that while he had been in similar situations before, this was his first time properly participating in a formal drill of this nature.

"Ganito po pala talaga. Alam n'yo, first time ko lang maranasan 'to. 'Yung una ko, 'yung first kong earthquke drill, bumaba naman. Ano pong tawag dito?," he remarked while sheltered under the table.

Once the "all-clear" signal was given by building security, the pair emerged from their makeshift bunker, dusted themselves off, and resumed their professional duties.

The incident serves as a humanizing reminder that in the face of safety protocols, even the most intense media moments must take a backseat to preparedness—and a little bit of shared laughter.
