Actress Kaila Estrada opened up about the challenges she faced entering the entertainment industry as the daughter of veteran stars Janice de Belen and John Estrada.

In a recent interview with PeopleAsia, the actress candidly shared that having famous parents came with a certain level of pressure when she first started her career. She admitted that expectations from others made the experience more challenging at the beginning.

"It's harder by a bit only because there is a layer of pressure there, so there's like that certain expectation, well, I felt like I had to live up to. But at the end of the day, when I entered the business, I just kept telling myself [that] the journey of my parents are completely different from mine," she said.

Despite finding her own path in the industry, Kaila revealed that the idea of working on the same project with her parents still makes her nervous.

"I am super scared [to work with them]," she said.

According to the actress, she has always kept her professional life separate from her family life, which makes the thought of combining the two unfamiliar and intimidating.

"They are my parents and I've never sort of merged my two worlds: my working environment and my family," she explained.

She added that the pressure comes from knowing how talented her parents are and being very familiar with their personalities.

"Thinking about it, parang may lump in my throat kasi of course my parents, they are really good with what they do," she said.

Still, Kaila said she is open to the possibility if the right project comes along.

"For my mom and my dad, it's different," she shared.

She added that she would like to explore an action project with her father because it is something they both enjoy, while a drama project would be ideal for her mother, whom she considers an exceptional dramatic actress.
