Andrea Del Rosario recently shared a painful lesson with her followers after undergoing an eye procedure.

In a Facebook post, she revealed a photo of herself with a large patch over her right eye, simply captioned, "Ouch!!!"

The cause of the surgery was a persistent stye, or kuliti, that wouldn't heal. Andrea admitted that her busy schedule and some beauty habits led to the infection.

"I've been using a lot of makeup and false lashes... that's what happened," she shared in a video update.

Despite trying to treat it with medicine, the stye remained stubborn. "I've been drinking a lot of antibiotics and medicine, but hindi pa rin siya humuhupa so I need to have it surgically removed," she added.

The actress was very open about what she thinks went wrong, pointing to a lack of hygiene with her beauty tools.

"Lesson of the day: do not use dirty brushes and when you use your fake lashes, remove it at night. Don't sleep with it, which I did before," Andrea confessed.

Now recovering, she is taking a break from her usual glam routine to let her eye heal properly. Her post included hashtags like #MinorSurgery and #NoToFakeLashes as a reminder to everyone to prioritize eye health.
