At the show’s recent grand media conference, Kim reflected on how playing Stella, an ex-convict and family breadwinner, deepened her understanding of poverty and systemic struggles.

“In order to for you to live and feed your family, to eat kahit once a day...aabot ka talaga sa puntong ganoon,” she added.
Despite the heavy theme, Kim shared a hopeful message.
Kaya sana as years pass by, umangat na ‘yung mga Pilipino. Lahat tayo. Para wala nang ganon,” she said.
The actress also welcomed the chance to step away from her wholesome image.
Kim prepared intensely for the psychologically demanding role.
“Naghahanap at nanunuod din talaga ako ng mga films o ‘yung mga tao [with a similar role],” she revealed.
