Veteran actor **Epy Quizon** has fulfilled a long-held personal goal after finally completing his college education 30 years after stepping away from school.

The milestone was revealed in an Instagram post where he shared photos of his recent graduation from De La Salle University. One image showed him wearing a toga in front of the iconic St. La Salle Hall, accompanied by a heartfelt letter addressed to his younger self.

"Dear Self, 30 years ago, in 1996, you walked the halls of De La Salle University just a thesis away from graduation. Fear and circumstance pulled you away, and survival became more important than ceremony," he wrote.

He reflected on the quiet promise he carried through years of work, loss, and responsibility, emphasizing perseverance despite life’s interruptions. Quizon also remembered his late father, "Dolphy," expressing regret that the screen legend was no longer alive to witness the moment.

“Today, you return—not as the young man who left, but as someone steadier, stronger, and faithful to his word.”

For the actor, the diploma symbolized more than academic completion. He described it as "a promise kept. A prayer answered. A legacy for your children." He further stressed the message that “It was never too late.”

In a succeeding post, Quizon said finishing his studies honored his father’s memory and offered his mother what he called a “gift of completion.” He added that the achievement demonstrated perseverance to his siblings and showed his children that a vow remains sacred regardless of how long it takes to fulfill.

Quizon also thanked the university for welcoming him back and expressed gratitude to God, whom he called “the Author of this long and beautiful story.”

Epy Quizon, or Jeffrey Smith Quizon, is a Filipino actor who first made a name for himself after starring as the antagonist, Jepoy, in the movie, Lastikman. He is also the son of the late actor, Dolphy, who is dubbed as 'The King of Comedy' in the Philippines. He has recently trended on social media after he launched his advocacy campaign for peace called "MagkaisaPH." For his viral campaign, the 48-year-old-actor included a theme song with the title, "Lukso ng Dugo." The said theme song was then sung by some of the brightest Filipino artists namely Gary Valenciano, Gloc 9, and Kyla. However, Epy also revealed that one politician actually offered P30M to him in order to use his theme song for their political campaign.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Epy Quizon was accompanied by his friend, Cesar Montano, to the PNP Headquarters for a much-needed drug test.

Meanwhile, Epy's late father, Dolphy, made headlines after his grandchild guested on It's Showtime to participate in their Tawag ng Tanghalan segment.
