Veteran actor Eddie Gutierrez is showing everyone that he is a true fighter. In a video shared by journalist Salve Asis, the 'Elvis Presley of the Philippines' looked sharp and happy while celebrating his 84th birthday with loved ones.

"I'm okay, I feel good," Eddie shared with a smile. "This birthday has given me more life," he even added.

It has been a difficult few months for the screen legend, who had to fly to Singapore twice for spinal procedures at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. What started as a back surgery led to the discovery of a life-threatening infection, but his daughter Ruffa recently shared that his health is now steadily improving.

During his speech, Eddie made sure to honor his wife, Annabelle Rama. "I want to thank God for giving me another life," he said. "And especially Annabelle, who has been the rock in our family. She is everything to us—to the kids, to me, everything. She's always there," he happily shared.

While he is currently using a wheelchair as he recovers, the veteran actor is already looking forward to the future.

Earlier, he even joked about a recent fake news report claiming he had passed away, telling fans, "I'm still alive and kicking... Hindi pa ako namamatay. Binigyan pa ako ng Panginoon ng mga ilang taon."
