Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray is officially stepping into film acting as she joins the cast of “The Loved One,” marking her big-screen debut.

The announcement came with the release of the movie’s official trailer, which also confirms the long-awaited reunion of Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales.
Written and directed by Irene Villamor, the film serves as Anne’s first movie project since the 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “The Mall, The Merrier.”
It also brings her back together with Jericho, following their previous collaborations in the 2008 historical film “Baler” and the 2011 drama series “Green Rose.”

The newly released trailer opens in black and white, showing Jericho’s character Eric waiting for Anne’s Ellie while she is stuck in traffic.
Eric sends a message that reads, "Love you still."
His voiceover later reflects on the imbalance in their relationship.
"Dahil ako ang mas nag-mahal, ako ang laging naghihintay."
As Cup of Joe’s song “Multo” plays, the trailer moves between tender memories and heavier moments.
"For me, saying 'I love you' has become a question," Eric said, admitting uncertainty.
Ellie, on the other hand, expresses her desire for clarity when she says, "Look, I just want my life to make sense."
Eric responds in a separate scene with, "I love you. That should make sense."
The trailer also briefly introduces Catriona Gray’s character, who appears to be Eric’s co-worker, hinting at her role in the story.
Ellie delivers a final, telling line when she tells Eric, "I think we're just too much for each other."
“The Loved One” opens in Philippine cinemas on February 11, positioning it as a timely release for Valentine’s weekend moviegoers.
