The heated exchange erupted on Saturday, Jan. 3, after Singson made bold claims that Rocha and his partner, Anne Jakrajutatip, are no longer at the helm of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO).

In a stinging Instagram Story, the Mexican tycoon expressed his frustration without directly mentioning Singson by name, though the timing made the target obvious. Im fed up with that delusional fool and his daughter making statements, dreaming of something he wouldnt be able to achieve in a hundred years. Keep dreaming, my lawyers will put an end to your fairytales,”Rocha wrote.

The tension began when Singson posted on Facebook that the MUO was allegedly looking for new owners. He claimed that because both Rocha and Jakrajutatip are facing legal warrants, they had been stripped of their ownership. Singson even shared a photo with his daughter, Congresswoman Richelle Singson, and former MUO Vice President Shawn McClain, hinting at potential acquisition talks with what he called the “rightful owners” and creditors.

However, the Miss Universe Organization was quick to shut down these rumors. In an official statement, the MUO clarified that there has been no change in leadership. They labeled the circulating rumors as “false and misleading statements” designed to deceive the public and exploit the brand. The organization remains committed to protecting its integrity, its partners, and the public from deception or misuse of its name, brand, and reputation,” the statement read.

While the MUO insists they are still in control, both owners are currently embroiled in heavy legal battles. Raul Rocha is reportedly being investigated in Mexico for alleged involvement in drug, gun, and fuel tr^fficking—claims he has denied. Meanwhile, Anne Jakrajutatip was recently sentenced by a South Bangkok Civil Court to two years in prison for fraud related to corporate bond investments.

Raul Rocha is a prominent Mexican businessman who became the co-owner of Miss Universe alongside JKN Global Group’s Anne Jakrajutatip in 2024. Despite the legal clouds hanging over them, the organization maintains that their legal teams are handling the matters and that the pageant’s 75th-anniversary preparations are moving forward as planned.

The controversy surrounding Raul Rocha is not entirely new, as he has faced several public hurdles since taking a leadership role in the pageant. Reports have surfaced detailing a series of investigations into his business dealings in Mexico, which have sparked concerns among pageant fans worldwide. Despite the gravity of the accusations, Rocha has remained defiant, often taking to social media to defend his reputation and his position within the Miss Universe Organization.

Adding to the organization's recent headaches, other figures in the pageant world have also been involved in legal disputes. Nawat Itsaragrisil, the head of the Miss Grand International organization, recently filed a formal complaint regarding the conduct and results of other major pageants. These overlapping controversies have made 2025 and early 2026 some of the most turbulent years for international beauty competitions.
