In fact, she grew up having to eat whatever was on the table. “Bago matapos ang taon gusto ko mag share ng pinagdaanan ko. Hindi ako maarte na tao, at lumaki ako na hindi maarte sa pagkain dahil hindi naman namin choice na maging mapili dahil pinagkakasya lang naman namin kung ano ang meron kami sa isang bwan,” she shared.

Because of her simple upbringing, Toni never lost her craving for Filipino street food. Whether it was kwek-kwek, fishballs, or the famous "dos-tres" snacks, she was always game to eat at sidewalk stalls. “Mahilig ako sa street foods.. basta tusok tusok game ako dyan kwek2, fishball, isaw bbq lalo na yung dos tres. Pero kasi yung iba hindi naman lumalaban ng patas,” she noted.

However, she pointed out that poor hygiene from some vendors—such as undercooked meat, dirty water, and pollution from nearby traffic—took a toll on her body. This led to her H. pylori diagnosis, a type of bacteria that infects the stomach. “Dahil dito nagkaron ako ng H. pylori.. kaya mas lalo naging active ang hyper acidity ko. at dahilan kung bakit plaagi ako na oospital,” she explained.

Toni’s painful journey taught her that choosing clean food isn't about being high-maintenance; it’s about survival. “Hindi arte ang pag iingat sa pagkain, pagmamahal sa sarili ang tawag don,” she reminded her fans, urging everyone to listen to their bodies and prioritize health over cravings.
