Nadine Samonte recently stirred discussion on social media after posting a cryptic yet seemingly pointed message on Instagram's Threads regarding people who only reach out to ask for favors during the holidays.

The post, which began with "Dear People," reflected a mix of humor and frustration regarding the said issue.

On the platform, she acknowledged that while Christmas is a "time of giving," she emphasized that sharing should happen regardless of the holiday. However, she followed this up by talking about the issue.

"Alam ko this is the time of giving kasi its Christmas pero kahit hindi Pasko we share. So ang issue ko is wag niyo naman ako i-message ng nanghihingi kasi Pasko or something, na buong taon hindi niyo naman ako pinapansin. Tuwing December nyio lang ba ako naaalala?"

In a joking manner, she then added a final punchline about only remembering people who are present throughout the year:

"Pwes, tuwing December ako magkakaroon ng amnesia, just saying," she had written.
