​"It was a very long process," he admitted. "And sabi ko nga ang isa sa pinakamagandang ginawa ko was I kept it private," he revealed.

​He noted that previously, when he was more open about what was happening, it led to misunderstandings.

​"So nagkakaroon ng malice siguro on their part, of what I do," he concluded to Boy.

​He proudly stated that their commitment to discretion helped them reach a place of peace.

​"Masasabi ko na hindi na siya hilaw. Ngayon hinog na hinog na and I can say na with with Lian and John na hindi kami civil, friends kami. Totoo."

​The actor emphasized that the relationship he shares with Lian and John is built on mutual respect and that he is deeply thankful for the way they have raised his children, Xonia and Xalene, to be kind and good.

​"Iba yung respeto ni John sa akin kaya talagang grabe yung respeto ko sa kanya. I’m very thankful sa kanilang dalawa," he shared. He pointed out that the most important thing is the welfare and character of the children. "Napalaki nila yung mga bata na sobra yung marespeto at mababait talaga. And nakikita yun ng mga tao," he confessed.

​Aside from this, Paolo is also careful about how he shares moments with his daughters online, ensuring he posts only after Lian and John do, to show his respect to the couple and their dynamics as well.
