Miguel Tanfelix faints on set of ‘KMJS’ Gabi ng Lagim The Movie’ while filming intense scene

Miguel Tanfelix shared a frightening experience he encountered during the filming of the upcoming horror anthology “KMJS’ Gabi ng Lagim The Movie,” revealing that he unexpectedly lost consciousness while shooting a scene aboard a ship.

In an interview with Nelson Canlas aired on GMA News’ “24 Oras,” the actor recounted how the incident took place in the basement area of a vessel docked at Manila Bay.

According to Miguel, the setup itself made the environment risky.

“Wala masyadong air flow na nangyayari sa set namin and then ‘yung set namin pinuno namin ng usok. Eh sa scene na ‘yun kailangan parang hysterical ako, so nagsisisigaw ako, tapos nakahiga pa 'ko sa floor, so nalanghap ko lahat ng usok," kuwento niya. The combination of poor ventilation, artificial smoke, and the physical demand of the scene took a toll on him.

Sensing something was wrong, Miguel said he immediately alerted the director.

Sabi ko, 'Direk, direk, wait, hihimatayin yata ako.' 'Yun na 'yung last kong naalala,” he said.

When he regained consciousness, medics were already around him, checking his condition while he drank water.

His blood pressure was later examined and found to be normal.

“Para sa 'kin nakakatakot 'yun kasi first time mangyari sa akin 'yon na parang gumalaw 'yung mundo tapos ako, hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari sa 'kin," the actor admitted, calling the experience unnerving and unlike anything he had dealt with on a set before.

Miguel is part of the cast of “KMJS’ Gabi ng Lagim The Movie,” which features three horror stories brought to life by a star-studded ensemble that includes Jillian Ward, Sanya Lopez, Elijah Canlas, and several others. The film is scheduled to hit theaters beginning November 26.
