The couple marked the milestone with a quiet, romantic getaway at The Modern Lake House in Rizal, sharing the experience on Vice Ganda’s popular YouTube channel.
While marveling at the serene atmosphere of their chosen venue, Vice immediately addressed the high expectations surrounding their public relationship.
During their conversation, Vice Ganda made a remarkably candid confession, admitting their relationship is far from the fairy tale often perceived by the public.
"We’re not always strong," Vice revealed. "Hindi naman perfect ang relasyon namin. May mga time na nagkakatampuhan kami."
Ion Perez, who surprised Vice with a romantic motorcycle ride for the anniversary, provided the practical side of their relationship advice.
He stressed the importance of communication and quick reconciliation: "Hindi naman perpekto ‘yung relasyon namin. Bago pumutok ang umaga, pipilitin naming mag-usap. Hindi namin hahayaan ‘yung away. Bago matulog, mag-uusap na kami."
Ion further highlighted that the cornerstone of their lasting bond is respect.
Vice Ganda followed up with a profound observation, comparing love to a professional discipline: "Mas mahirap mag-maintain ng relationship kaysa business."
The “It's Showtime” host noted that while schools offer courses on business, there are no formal classes on love.
But it’s all worth it."
The Kapamilya star shared that what makes Ion his ideal life partner is the consistent and gentle attention to his well-being.
"Tapos tatanungin niya, ‘Happy ka pa ba?’ He will always make sure na happy ako at okay kami.
As fireworks illuminated the sky and Ion presented Vice with flowers and stuffed toys, Vice Ganda closed the celebratory vlog with a clear declaration of unwavering commitment: "I have decided to stick with this man for the rest of my life. I have decided to love this guy for the rest of my life."
This honest acknowledgment of their relationship's imperfections, coupled with their deep mutual commitment, is what truly resonated with their fans, offering a valuable lesson that true love requires continuous, conscious effort.
