The viral three-part post on her Instagram account presented a scathing critique of the proposal, which she argues unjustly burdens Filipino consumers while systemic issues, particularly corruption, remain unaddressed.
In her first slide on Instagram, the radio host outlined the key points of the proposed bill, noting the proposed dramatic hike in excise tax rates: "May bagong panukala sa Kongreso. Taasan ang buwis sa sweetened beverages mula sa kasalukuyang 6%-12% papuntang 20%-40%, WOW!"

She acknowledged the stated reasons for the hike — to curb the consumption of sugary drinks among Filipinos and to fund programs for PhilHealth, DOH, and LGU nutrition initiatives.

However, her second slide immediately challenged the lawmakers' priorities. DJ Chacha questioned the timing and necessity of adding a new tax when many Filipinos are already struggling economically and the issue of corruption in infrastructure projects is rampant.
"PANUKALANG DAGDAG BUWIS NA NAMAN kahit pa halos hindi na makakain ng maayos ang maraming Pilipino at nag-uumapaw ang isyu ng korapsyon sa infrastructure projects?" she questioned. At one point, she even added lamented that no one has yet to be accountable as well, "WALA PA NGANG NAPAPANAGOT TAPOS GUSTO NIYO MAGTAAS NA NAMAN NG BUWIS?"
In her concluding slide, DJ Chacha agreed with the goal of reducing sugar consumption, citing the alarming rise in diabetes cases. However, she shifted the focus back to government accountability.

"Walang masama sa layunin na mabawasan ang sugar consumption, totoo namang ang dami ng may diabetes ngayon. PERO ANG MAS DAPAT BAWASAN AY ANG KUPIT SA KABAN NG BAYAN PARA HINDI NA KAILANGANG DAGDAGAN ANG BUWIS NA TAUMBAYAN ANG NAGPAPASAN!" she asserted. The radio host then directed a pointed rhetorical question to the lawmakers: "Okay lang po ba yan mga kagalang-galang na mambabatas?" which resonated deeply with netizens.
