The news of the café's shutdown was delivered via a simple, gratitude-filled post on Siesta’s official Instagram page over the weekend.

The message, which contained no explicit reason for the closure, simply thanked patrons for their support, stating, “Thank you for making us possible. We are grateful.”

The statement, however, did clarify that the establishment will honor prior commitments, continuing to serve drinks and host events until January 2026.

The timing of the announcement has not gone unnoticed by the public and social media observers.

Rumors of a potential split between Huyong and Bang have been swirling since earlier this month after sharp-eyed fans noticed the sudden, mysterious disappearance of their engagement photos from Huyong’s own Instagram account.

The couple, who began dating in 2023 and got engaged in an intimat3 setting in June 2024, has yet to issue any official comment on the circulating gossip regarding the state of their relationship.

Siesta Horchata’s physical location in Scout Santiago, Quezon City, is significant as it shares a building with two of Ryan Bang's established businesses, the Korean restaurant Paldo and Moridu Art Salon.

This shared business address has added a layer of complication to the public interpretation of the café's closure.

While some commentators are quick to link the business decision directly to personal turbulence, suggesting a fractured relationship is the primary driver, other observers have proposed more pragmatic, business-related reasons.

Challenges in the hospitality sector, shifts in consumer behavior, or a strategic business pivot are all potential, though unconfirmed, possibilities behind the decision to close Siesta’s doors.

To date, neither the South Korean host nor his fiancée has addressed the torrent of inquiries regarding the café’s future or their much-anticipated wedding plans.

Bang continues to appear regularly on his variety show, maintaining his professional composure despite the highly publicized speculation.

For fans who were looking forward to the union of the two, the twin mysteries—the unannounced social media purge of engagement memories and the unexpected closure of Huyong’s establishment—leave a future that is, for now, decidedly uncertain.

The public awaits an official word from the couple to clarify the end of Siesta Horchata and, more importantly, the end, or continuation, of their engagement.

The social media activity has led to widespread speculation among fans and netizens that the couple's engagement may be called off. Paola was also recently seen without her engagement ring in a video she uploaded, further fueling the rumors. The couple, who announced their engagement in June 2024, has yet to release an official statement regarding the status of their relationship.
