Content creator and actress Dani Barretto took to Instagram to share an emotional tribute following the passing of her uncle, fondly called “Tito Mits.” In her heartfelt post, Dani remembered him as the family’s pillar of strength after the death of another relative, Pikey.

“Tito Mito, I can’t believe I’m writing this. My heart is so heavy. Thank you for being our rock after Pikey passed, for keeping us together, for never missing a single milestone, birthdays, weddings. You were always the first to arrive, the last to go home, and no matter what it was, you showed up for us, always,” Dani wrote.

She recalled their cherished New York trip, which she described as one of her most treasured memories.

“We had hotdogs outside the MET, you offered to take all my photos without hesitation, nagpahula pa tayo hahaha, We had beers at a random Irish pub, and we sat on the steps of Times Square while you kept saying how happy you were that you joined us,” she said.

In her tribute, Dani also thanked him for being a loving brother to her mother, actress Marjorie Barretto.

“Thank you for loving her, protecting her, and defending her the way only you could. Mom loves you so deeply, and so do we,” she added.

Dani promised to take care of her uncle’s family, including Tita Connie, and said the family finds comfort in knowing Tito Mits is now reunited with Pikey.

“We are heartbroken, but we will carry your love and your memories with us, always & forever,” she ended.

Just days before their 2019 wedding, Dani revealed she actually told Xavi to run away. In her post, Dani said she even told Xavi that he didn't have to marry her.
