In her Instagram post, Jennylyn reflected on her role as a taxpayer. "We were awarded as one of the top taxpayers and recognized as a tax advocate. Sana lang napupunta sa tama yung mga pinaghihirapan namin ibayad sa buwis! Nakakahiya naman sa mga mamamayang Pilipino," she wrote, echoing the sentiments of the public.

Jennylyn did not hold back in expressing her frustration, especially upon seeing allegations of public funds being misused while ordinary citizens continue to suffer from flooding, "Watching billions in ‘flood control’ vanish while our communities sink deeper in floods is unacceptable. Flood control funds are meant to protect people, families, and futures — hindi para mapunta sa bulsa ng mga magnanakaw," the actress said.
