Janine Tugonon's name is once again making headlines, not for pageant-related updates, but for her candid revelations about motherhood and her daughter's ongoing skin condition. The former beauty queen, who has been very open about Baby Madeleine's eczema journey, has recently entertained another round of questions from other fellow mommies that are on Instagram.

In her post, Janine shared a screenshot of a follower's heartfelt query: "Curious on how you treated your baby's eczema. My baby has it too. I hope you share what worked for your child. Thank you."
She did not hesitate to give an answer, saying that Baby Madeleine still experiences flare-ups. "Hers still comes and goes. Just had a recent outbreak actually… few days ago. I think she reacted on something or maybe I wasn’t moisturizing enough. I had to put Tridesonit in the face and Betamethasone again in the body (these are steroids prescribed by derma in France)," she said.
Fortunately, the prescribed treatment helped calm the outbreak. "It went away the next day. Moisturizing daily really helps. Currently on Cerave baby moisturizing cream and Weleda for body soap," she shared, emphasizing how hydration and skincare routines play a big role for the baby.

The beauty queen-turned-celebrity mom also recalled one of the most challenging episodes they went through. "She had a really nasty one in the face a long time ago (3 months siya), and a lot in the body, and only hydrocortisone really worked to get rid of it. Then daily moisturizing. So far it hasn't happened again, thank God," she said, expressing relief that it hasn't happened again.
Interestingly, Janine noticed a significant difference in her daughter's skin health depending on their location. "I've noticed though, her skin is better here in the US than when we’re in France. There are less outbreaks (only 1 so far), not sure why," she admitted, hinting at how climate or environment might be affecting Baby Madeleine's eczema, another factor to consider as well.
This isn't the first time Janine has opened up about her daughter's skin struggles. Back in March of this year, she also shared details about Madeleine's eczema on her official Instagram page.
