Ruffa Gutierrez, a prominent Filipina actress, recently made headlines after she got candid about her current relationship with her ex-husband, Yilmaz Bektas, in the podcast of Anna Magkawas.

Earlier, Anna shared another clip from her podcast feature with Ruffa, where the actress was asked about her ex-husband. In the conversation, Ruffa emphasized the importance of her daughters, Lorin and Venice, maintaining a healthy relationship with their father right now.
"You know, for me, tatay pa rin nila si Yilmaz so I believe na they should have a good relationship with their dad. Kasi nag-reach out naman siya, and for me, they're already of age to know what's right and what's wrong," she began, something that many netizens have praised Ruffa for.
When asked if she and Yilmaz were co-parenting, Ruffa confirmed it, saying that they are now in a much better place and that she is happy knowing her kids are happy. "Meron, and masaya ako kasi when I see my kids happy, I'm also happy, and now, we're in a good place," she admitted.

However, Ruffa was quick to clarify to their viewers that she and Yilmaz are not romantically back together but are simply co-parents and what she jokingly described as "phone pals" to Anna.
"Hindi po kami nagkabalikan. Alam ko maraming Ruffa-Yilmaz fans diyan. Hindi kami nagkabalikan as lovers pero siguro nagkabalikan yung magandang samahan namin. Nagkukwentuhan kami minsan. Yes, I can say that we're friends that don't see each other, because I haven't seen him since 2007 or 2008. So I'll say na, instead of friends, we're textmates, phone pal, o diba?" Ruffa told Anna, before she cracked a laugh in front of her as well.
With this candid admission, Ruffa reassured fans that while reconciliation as lovers is not on the horizon, she and Yilmaz have managed to rebuild a positive dynamic for their children.
