Josh Mojica, the young entrepreneur behind kangkong chips, found himself in hot water again this August after a post circulated online saying he was a billionaire at 21.
The post, which came from an unofficial Facebook fan page, read that Mojica was already a billionaire at his age.
Mojica later reshared it on his verified account, which quickly caught the attention of netizens.
One of the most vocal reactions came from former Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon, who called out Mojica online.

She said she thought the youngest billionaire was Edgar “Injap” Sia II, the owner of a chicken inasal food chain, and asked the Bureau of Internal Revenue to look into Mojica’s taxes.
Not long after, the original post disappeared and was replaced with another one highlighting Mojica as a humble and hardworking young CEO.
Still, the issue continued to trend, with netizens questioning Mojica’s claim.
On August 23, Mojica finally spoke up through a video statement. He explained that he only reshared the post and never claimed to be a billionaire.
He admitted, however, that becoming one is his dream and said he was proud that many young people felt inspired by it.
Mojica stressed that his business is fully legal, transparent, and compliant, and that everything he does focuses on growth.
Mojica ended by clarifying that he has never called himself a billionaire and that his goal is to continue building his business while inspiring the youth.

In another viral local report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed multiple times by her own husband.
