Fumiya Sankai reveals he felt love at first sight with Kate Valdez

Fumiya Sankai, a Japanese vlogger and actor, shared that he never truly knew what love was until he met Kapuso actress Kate Valdez.

In his guesting on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Fumiya recalled that he first met Kate when she attended an event where he was performing.

The moment he saw her, he was instantly captivated.

Kate, on the other hand, remembered that it was a common friend who introduced them after the show.

She admitted that she already knew Fumiya from his online videos and even praised him for always making her laugh.

Kate said they quickly became friends despite the language barrier. For Fumiya, however, it was love at first sight.

He explained that even without many words exchanged, he could already feel that Kate was kind-hearted.

Kate also admitted that she found Fumiya cute and handsome in person.

Kate recalled watching him back when he was still in Pinoy Big Brother and said she was surprised to see that he looked even more attractive up close.

Since Japanese men are not usually open about courtship, Fumiya chose to spend time with Kate by asking her out.

Eventually, he directly confessed his feelings for her, and just a month later, he told her he loved her.

Their bond grew stronger when Kate visited Japan and met Fumiya’s family, where she saw how close he was to them.

Although they have already talked about marriage, both agreed that their priority right now is their respective careers.
