Charlie Fleming finally talks about being compared to Fyang Smith

Sparkle Teen Charlie Fleming shared her reaction to people comparing her to former “Pinoy Big Brother” Big Winner Fyang Smith.

During their guesting on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Charlie said, “Actually po, nagugulat po talaga ako, natatakot po talaga ako because I really don't want to be compared to other artists, especially po in a derogatory way.”

She was praised for her intelligence and maturity inside the “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” house, saying, “‘Yung wisdom po and being mature, it comes from experience, it comes from understanding po. Hindi po talaga sinasadya.”

Charlie mentioned they met briefly, “We've met once only. I've said ‘Hello,’ I've introduced myself but we don't actually follow each other.”

Regarding housemates’ batches, Esnyr commented, “Hindi naman po ito competition,” while Charlie added, “Our seasons are different."

This is the first GMA and ABS collab. Esnyr also said, “Iba-iba kami ng amats. At I love their season too.”

Charlie and Esnyr, known as “CharEs,” expressed happiness for placing third in “Celebrity Collab Edition.”

All 20 housemates will reunite on August 10 at “The Big ColLOVE” fancon at Smart Araneta Coliseum. A season 2 of the show is also confirmed.

Pokwang criticized her remarks, commenting on a clip that reached 7.3 million views. She advised Fyang to stay humble and reflected on her 21 years in the industry. The comedienne also urged Fyang’s fans to guide her because sudden fame can be dangerous.

Additionally, Ogie Diaz was also among those who gave advice to Fyang Smith. This came after several of her statements and actions, both on camera and in front of a live audience, went viral. Some of these included her claim that no other batch could beat theirs in PBB and certain questionable actions towards fellow PBB housemates while on stage. Ogie reminded her that not everyone will understand Fyang’s authenticity, especially when it seems to be going overboard.
