Ogie Diaz, in his latest Showbiz Update vlog on YouTube, addressed the circulating rumors involving Marco Gumabao and Barbie Imperial. The veteran showbiz columnist took the opportunity to clear the air after a video of the two dining together has surfaced online.

"Speaking of Marco Gumabao, aba nakita sila one time sa Rockwell ni Barbie Imperial. Kasi marami ang nakakita sa kanila, kumakain dun sa isang restaurant sa Rockwell. Silang dalawa lang daw," Ogie shared, referring to the alleged sighting of the two at a restaurant in Rockwell.

His co-host, Mama Loi, then asked the question on many viewers' minds to Ogie: "So silang dalawa na yung magkasama? Wala na sila ni Richard?" which refers to Richard Gutierrez.

To this, Ogie responded promptly, "Sila pa rin," eventually quipping, "Hindi ba pwede?" before giving a bit of a trivia about the two: "Ano bang apelyido ni Barbie? Imperial. Si Marco naman ay ang tunay na pangalan ay Marco Imperial Gumabao. Sila ay magkamag-anak, at very close sila."

He further explained the connection between the two celebrities in his viral vlog post online: "Si Barbie Imperial ay pamangkin sa pinsan nitong si Marco. Dahil pinsan ni Barbie Imperial ang nanay ni Marco. Kaya dun sa mga nagkakalat, dun sa mga bashers na nagsasabing sume-segway si Barbie, ayan po ang malinaw. Magkamag-anak po sila at madalas din po silang magkasama."

To add more context, Ogie revealed that the pair were waiting for Richard Gutierrez that day, allegedly: "Itong si Marco at si Barbie ay supposedly hihintayin nila si Richard, kaso di na kinaya ng powers ni Richard kasi that day manggagaling siya sa media con ng finale ng Incognito."

Ogie eventually concluded the segment with a gentle reminder aimed at netizens: "Itigil na po natin ang pagli-link kay Barbie Imperial at kay Marco Imperial Gumabao. Malinaw na po yan."
