“I couldn’t believe it. I was very, very flattered, really — because of the kind of role that it was,” Rhian told "The STAR."
“Actually, at that time, I was actively avoiding doing fantasy series. I wanted to do more drama and kind of cement myself in that genre.”

But fate — and "Encantadia" creator Suzette Doctolero — had other plans. Doctolero said Rhian was the first and only choice for Mitena after seeing her compelling performance in the 2023 thriller "Royal Blood."

Mitena, the twin sister of Cassiopeia (played by Solenn Heussaff), adds a darker layer to the already expansive "Encantadia" universe.

First introduced in 2004, the beloved fantaserye has become a staple in Philippine pop culture with its rich lore of magical gems, elemental kingdoms, and warrior princesses known as sang’gres.

“But when she told me the story, this was not a role I could pass up. I loved the whole journey of the character. They really gave me a lot to work with. Buong-buo yung character, from beginning to end,” Rhian shared. “I told myself, No. 1, this is the right (project) to return to a fantaserye and No. 2, to be part of the "Encantadia" world.”

Previosly, she revealed her perspective on marriage has evolved, crediting her boyfriend Sam Verzosa for changing her previous skepticism about lifelong commitment. She shared how growing up with divorced parents led her to believe that "nothing really lasts forever" in relationships.

Rhian Ramos is an actress, endorser, singer, and television host in the Philippines. Some of her first high-profile projects include “Stairway to Heaven” and “Captain Barbell.” She used to be in a relationship with DJ Mo Twister years ago. The star also made an impact by co-hosting "Wowowin" with Willie Revillame.

Previously, Rhian channeled her inner Taylor Swift. On Thursday, October 31, Rhian took to Instagram to share photos that Dennis Sulit shot. Clad in outfits that were inspired by Taylor Swift, Rhian looked like the international singer. Needless to say, celebrities were in awe of Rhian's grand transformation for Halloween.

The actress also previously took to Instagram and shared a "shimenet" video. The actress was dressed in a white sultry dress and gave her own version of the trending word. "She may like to stay home, but sometimes, #ShimenetLike....," captioned the actress. Many celebs reacted to her post and many said that the video of the actress made their day.
