Star Magic, the talent management arm of ABS-CBN, has addressed the circulating death threat against “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” alum JM Ibarra.

On its social media page on Wednesday, May 28, the company issued a statement crying foul over the said threat.

“Star Magic does not tolerate threats, derogatory remarks, and other personal attacks made online against our artists,” it stated.

If necessary, Star Magic said it will pursue legal action against the individual who posted the threat.

“These acts have serious and damaging consequences and we will take legal action, if necessary.”

Recently, the threat allegedly made by a fan of the Fyang Smith-Jarren Garcia pairing went viral all over social media.

“Kung hindi mapupunta si fyang kay Jarren di rin siya mapupunta Kay JM kasi sa June last show niya yun. May gagawin kaming fandom para mawala si JM nag hire kami ng hitman para mawala ang tinik saming mga Jarfyang si Tito Mak Mak niyo,” the threat reads.

Pinoy Big Brother is a reality show where the contestants are required to stay in a house known as “Bahay ni Kuya.” The big winner will be determined by overcoming the challenges that must be faced inside the house and also with the help of votes from the audience. The Philippine adaptation of the popular American TV reality series have produced big stars like Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby, and many more.

The ongoing Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition is the latest season of the long-running reality show.

In a previous report by KAMI, Fyang Smith was the 'Big Winner' of Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11. The runner-ups were Kai Montinola in 4th place, Kolette Madelo in 3rd place, and Rain Celmar in 2nd place. This season's Big Winner will receive ₱1,000,000, a house and lot courtesy of Vista Land, an all-expense paid trip to South Korea courtesy of Mitzy Travel & Tours, and a whole bunch more.
