Candy Pangilinan, a Filipina actress known for her candid humor and heartfelt stories, opened up about her hospital stay and surgical procedure through a 12-minute vlog posted on her channel.

The actress revealed that she had undergone a laparoscopy for her gallbladder and gallstones after enduring persistent pain in her right rib area which radiated across her back at one point in time.

"I'm in the hospital right now tapos na po ako sa laparoscopy ko. Tinanggal po yung gall ko, yung gallbladder and the stones. Na-admit ako yesterday. Bakit po ako nagpa-ano? Kasi sumasakit na po yung sa right ko, sa may rib part and medyo matagal na siyang masakit. Hanggang likod na kasi yung masakit," Candy explained to her viewers, which worried some of them on social media.

At one point, in her now-viral vlog post on YouTube, she also shared that she had to celebrate her birthday while confined at the hospital as well, saying, "Dito po ako nag-birthday, okay naman."

Eventually, the actress also gave a vital and crucial piece of information to netizens, "So san daw nakukuha 'to? Sa fatty food. Yung ma-oil, preservatives, yung mga masasarap. Basta fatty food."

Despite the surgery, what touched Candy the most was her son Quentin's concern for her, "Napansin ko with Quentin, nag-aalala siya. Nung isang araw pa eh tanong siya nang tanong kung anong mangyayari sakin. Tinatanong niya if I'm okay, kapag nakahiga ako, am I sick?"
