Janine Gutierrez, a Filipina actress and a member of one of the country's most prominent showbiz families, turned emotional during a heartfelt segment on the Sunday musical variety show, ASAP.
The tribute was dedicated to Philippine entertainment icons who passed away this year, including Pilita Corrales, Nora Aunor, Hajji Alejandro, and Ricky Davao—figures deeply admired and respected in the industry, and with some of whom Janine had personal connections with as well.

As she began speaking, emotion overtook her, and she briefly paused to gather herself before expressing her gratitude to the people behind the heartwarming tribute and performances.

"At syempre, ngayon pa lang, gusto ko na pong magpasalamat. Thank you so much, of course, to the ASAP Family for... ano ba yan, but thank you so much for doing this special tribute for Mama Guy and Mamita and Tito Ricky, and of course si Sir Hajji and everyone," she said through tears.
Janine also took the moment to thank everyone who visited the wake and mourned with them.
"You were also all at the wake so thank you so much. It means a lot to me, maraming salamat talaga to the ASAP Family."
The actress had earlier opened up on her Instagram broadcast channel about the personal losses she and her family endured during Holy Week, following the passing of Pilita and Nora this year.
"This Holy Week, my siblings and I lost two lolas, mama and papa's mothers. Kakauwi lang namin galing sa wake ni Mamita ng mga alas-kwarto ng hapon nung April 16, pagdating ng alas-diyes ng gabi, tumatawag na ulit yung kapatid ko sa chapel para kumuha ng kwarto, para naman kay Mama Guy. It's been difficult and even unbelievable," the Kapamilya star confessed to her fans.
