On Tuesday, Ogie took to Instagram to pay tribute to the late singer and actor.

In his heartfelt post, the “It’s Showtime” host lauded Hajji by recalling the latter’s pleasing traits.

“Tito Hajji was just an amazing human being. He was friendly, always joking around, kind, accommodating and the supreme professional when it came to his art of singing,” Ogie wrote.

“He was fondly called the original ‘Kilabot ng mga Kolehiyala’ and there is no doubt that all our hairs would stand with each note that he sang,” he continued.

Ogie also expressed his emotional thoughts on the passing of some music icons.

“These days have been just truly sad as we have all been mourning the loss of our music heroes.”

Furthermore, Ogie penned an earnest message to the bereaved family.

“To Rachel, Barnie, Nino and the rest of the Alejandro Family, we send our deepest sympathies. We are thinking of you at this time and praying for your comfort from our Lord.”

Hajji passed away at 70 after a battle with stage 4 colon cancer, leaving behind a legacy of timeless music.

Hajji's children include singer Rachel Alejandro, chef Barni, and Mojofly drummer Ali Alejandro, from different relationships.

The Philippine entertainment industry also mourns the recent deaths of Gloria Romero, Delia Razon, Pilita Corrales, and Nora Aunor.

Ogie Alcasid is a singer and composer in the Philippines. He is married to Regine Velasquez, a famous singer and host in the Philippines who is dubbed the Asia’s Songbird because of her outstanding vocal range. They have a son, Nate. The couple is considered one of the most respected power couples in the Philippine showbiz.

In a previous report by KAMI, Ogie shared a heartfelt anniversary greeting for his wife, Regine Velasquez, last December. In his message, he lovingly greeted her a happy 14th anniversary. He likewise described Regine his “everything,” as well as his “most precious one.” The singer-songwriter also called Regine his strength and weakness. Near the end of his post, Ogie thanked his wife for what he referred to as “pampering” at the popular and posh resort, The Farm At San Benito.

Ogie Alcasid was able to spread good vibes on social media due to his recent video post. He recently shared a funny reel recorded during a fire drill at the ABS-CBN compound on April 8. Based on the reel, Ogie delivered a hilarious speech to entertain the employees and staff of the media company. It is also worth noting that celebrities such as Vice Ganda, Maymay Entrata, and Jarren Garcia were spotted in the now-viral video.
