"Kapag galing kami sa mga gatherings eh nagiging mayaman kami. Iba yung mga pinupuntahan naming gathergings, kala mo ha," Gene mentioned in the now-viral video on his Instagram.

The comment, although delivered in jest, still prompted many to speculate about it afterward.

Toward the end of the clip, someone asked Gene if he would be attending the reception, "Attend ka ba ng reception?" to which he answered, "Hindi na sa reception, deception, mali ka ng ano."

The wordplay and tone in the now-viral video left viewers both amused and puzzled, especially due to the timing of the post, just after Dennis aired his disappointment over the recent wedding.

Needless to say, the video was met with mixed responses from netizens on social media.
