Videos from the wake of the late Pilita Corrales, fondly known as Asia's Queen of Songs, have been making rounds on social media, capturing poignant moments that reflect the immense love and respect the entertainment industry and the Filipino public have for the legendary performer.
On Monday, April 14, ABS-CBN News posted a touching video on Instagram, showing a deeply emotional embrace between Pilita's children — Jackie Lou Blanco and Ramon Gutierrez.

The video, taken by Ganiel Krishnan, shows the siblings holding each other in a long, warm hug that resonated deeply with viewers, as netizens flooded the comments with messages of sympathy and admiration, touched by the raw grief and unbreakable bond of her children.

The wake brought together family, friends, and fellow artists to honor the memory of Pilita, whose influence in Philippine music and entertainment spanned over a whopping six decades.

Allan Diones also released a video on YouTube that was taken during the first night of the wake.
The footage included heartfelt speeches and performances, one of the most moving being a tribute from Martin Nievera, who credited Pilita with playing a pivotal role in launching his music career.
"While they're fixing my music, let me just first say: To all the family members, I am the most delinquent here when it comes to Tita Pilita. I promised many times to be in Sunday visits, that I've been so delinquent on, [and] I apologize about that. But to think about my memories of Tita Pilita, she started my career," Martin shared, drawing laughter from the audience at the wake.
Also spotted at the wake was Pilita's granddaughter, award-winning actress Janine Gutierrez, who was seen with actor Jericho Rosales, whom the former is currently and officially dating.

Pilita Corrales, born María del Pilar Corrales y Garido, on August 22, 1939, in Lahug, Cebu, Philippines, was a celebrated Filipino singer and actress. Affectionately known as "Asia's Queen of Songs," she passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 85. Her illustrious career spanned over six decades, during which she recorded more than 135 albums. She is survived by her children, including actress Jackie Lou Blanco and actor Ramon Christopher Gutierrez.

Following the late singer's passing, Zsa Zsa took to Instagram to post throwback photos. In her post, Zsa Zsa confessed that it is hard to imagine a world without Asia's Queen of Songs. According to Zsa Zsa, Pilita was "truly one of a kind" in the music scene too.
Meanwhile, Sen. Grace Poe paid tribute to Pilita Corrales, whom she called 'Tita Pilita.' In a social media post, the senator sent her deepest sympathy to those grieving the Asia's Queen of Songs' passing. The politician also lauded the late veteran singer-actress' contributions to the entertainment industry. She further expressed gratitude to Pilita for being a good family friend.
