Marjorie Barretto has finally responded to Dennis Padilla’s public comments surrounding their daughter Claudia’s wedding, offering her perspective in an interview with Ogie Diaz.

She addressed the claims made by her ex-husband, suggesting that Dennis is trying to shift blame and create the impression that she manipulated the situation to embarrass him.
“I think what he wants to really do is accuse me na in-orchestrate ko lahat para magmukha siyang tanga. Tama ba ako? Hindi niya masabi ‘yung pangalan ko lang. Inaaway niya na lahat ng tao, lumaki na ‘yung kwento, masyado nang makalat ‘yung kwento. Pero ang gusto lang niyang tumbukin is si Marjorie ang may pakanana nitong lahat,” she stated.
Marjorie also shared that Dennis has been estranged from their children—Julia, Claudia, and Leon—for several years now.

She pointed to his frequent interviews as a reason for the distance, saying he often paints himself as a victim and shares misleading stories about their family.
“My kids’ trigger is their father. His voice alone nanginginig sila. It’s not my story to tell, it’s my children to tell. Years of therapy ‘yan. There are so many things hindi niyo alam na pinagdadaanan namin diyan kay Dennis,” she said.
She went on to reveal that their relationship had a history of abuse.
According to her, one of the worst incidents happened when Julia was still a baby, resulting in a damaged eardrum that required surgery.
Despite everything, Marjorie emphasized that she never kept Dennis from seeing their children.
